Our VARA® Skin Pontoon underskinning is a premium, lightweight (13.5lb min), inexpensive, translucent, non-corrosive 1-piece aluminum replacement for pontoon and tritoon boats with additional advantages:

We put the VARA® Foil system on our electric tritoon. We initially missed the front to back center of gravity placement then dialed it in on 2nd run after a 15 min adjustment at the beach. The boat went from normal 31 mph ride to VARA® Foiling at 40 mph. It’s amazing how the VARA® Plate allows me to trim the pitch of the boat down or up as needed on the fly with a bump of the trim/tilt switch.

I wanted to send an email and congratulate you on an amazing product. I purchased VaraSkin from you a few weeks ago and installed it on my 20ft pontoon. It was easy to install by myself and didn't take more than 6 hours including the prep work. You sent more than enough hardware to complete the task. It is easy to handle and cut yet extremely durable. I was excited to get my pontoon out on the water. I rebuilt my entire pontoon this spring and swapped a 40hp for a 75hp motor. The first time out this year, (without VaraSkin) fully loaded, I reached 19mph but the water was just beating the bottom and made for a very rough ride. Today, 5-31-25 I took my pontoon out and had a full boat for fishing. I was blown away with this product! It help increase speed to 23.5mph! That's awesome! I think what I'm more impressed by was how smooth the ride became. I used to dread the wake from other boats. With VaraSkin, it was like gliding on ice. It was so smooth at top speed and didn't feel like hitting speed bumps every 5 seconds. I am truly impressed with this product and I believe it will last me quite some time! The VARA® Foil Pontoon Hydrofoil has changed our entire boating experience. A few trips with it now and seeing major improvements. Went from 21 to 30 mph with loaded boat. Unsure of top speed with just wife and I as she asked me to back off when we accelerated past 34mph. I believe to achieve max speed with just two people I will need a different prop but we usually are loaded down. I have 500rpm to reach max with loaded boat. I will update when I get to experiment. I could get almost 35 with right prop configuration based on current performance. I have a real time fuel usage Merc app. I'm using 2.5 gph less at WOT, that's doing 9 mph faster. If I cruise at 24 mph, still faster than previous top speed I go from 9 to 5.7gph, serious savings when making long runs up river. Also notice insane improvement on ride quality in rough water that's hard to explain without experiencing. Absolutely recommend to anyone looking to improve their pontoon experience.
